Imagine for a second if Alfred the Great was still the ruler of the British Isles, and he was twice as tall as anybody else and had magic powers that he used to save the earth multiple times. That's Celestia.

There's a whole bunch of bullshit to unpack with that since it doesn't explain how Celestia and Luna maintained the day and the night prior to Equestria's founding. They had to have already been gods before Equestria was created. So why DIDN'T they found it? How could they be so apathetic as to ignore the plight of the founding ponies who were suffering under the Winidigoes?

Damn this kids show framework preventing meaningful connections.
