I honestly felt like Twilight would have had a better fit here.

Face it, the execution of royal problem was on point and they pulled it off. Stay mad.

Starlight's specialty is cutie mark magic. Also you saw what happened when she tried solving a friendship problem using only her own methods in the Hoofields and the McColts. Each attempt to solve it that way backfired. It wasn't until Fluttershy used her Dr. Doolittle powers to find out what caused it all in the first place that they were able to resolve the problem. The only useful thing Twilight did was use her considerable magic to stop both sides in place long enough for them to hear what Fluttershy had to say.

Twilight was a big baby about the whole thing compared to Glimmer. She didn't have the balls to do what Glimmer did, even if it was a bit rash. It resolved their bickering in one day, where Twilight would've just dragged it out.

Okay, so I watched it.

And it was actually good and enjoyable, even with Glimmer, up until she switched their CMs.

And yes, I'm still fucking mad, because it essentially further reinforces that Glimmer can't do shit without her magic, and instead of putting her friendship lessons from Twilight to use, she just mind-controls and switches people's cutie marks, because that's apparently all she's capable of, instead of actually being good at friendship.
