The setting is absolutely awful and there's not much variety in characters in terms of what they do; they're all stuck in highschool. Even Principles Celestia and Luna, as interesting as they are, fall victim to everyone being in a boring situation in boring place.

They have to keep bringing up Equestria/Equestrian magic just to keep things interesting and Legend of the Everfree was just a whole load of nothing. I can't even say there's fun adventures nor that the characters are the same, the best I can say is that the songs are good.
