This is the first time the show has established the formation of a new romantic relationship, and with a season one character no less. Most people find it sweet because Big Mac is a guy and Sugar Belle is essentially a background pony, but I'm sure there exist anons whose husbando was Big Mac. Imagine how they feel about this.
It's good that the show is not afraid to break new ground, but is no-one else worried that this is a cuckoo egg for the establishment of a romantic relationship involving an established female main character? It's always been Rarity's dream to meet the perfect guy, and all the mane six seem to be realizing their dreams. Who's to say that isn't next?
Hopefully Hasbro knows their audience well enough not to do something like that, but if they forgot the gay anons who husbando Big Mac, who's to say they won't forget us?

I'm in reality. It's odd that I am able to realize the reason that having this mental crutch is to cope with romantic loneliness while I continue to search for someone.
