>starts acting like an idiot
>doing all sorts on unnecessary favors for her

>at the end of the episode SB confronts him and says that she appreciates his concern but doesn't like him in a romantic way
>at this point, /mlp/ anons are still able to function like relatively adequate human beings
>but then she says that SHE LIKES HIM AS A FRIEND
