Dash didn't do anything wrong. Her parents were not just embarassing, they were disruptive and annoying as hell to the point of basically harassing her, and could have done bad things to the Wonderbolts' performance to boot. Nothing Rainbow Dash even said had anything wrong with it, but people hear her yelling and just immediately call her a cunt.

I completely understand that Dash went too far, but her parents were a little over the line and it wouldn't have hurt to show both sides of the issue, much like with Fluttershy Leans In.

It was still a great episode. One of the few times in recent memory that we've learned new things about the show's main characters which added genuine depth to the series, especially where Scootaloo was concerned.

No, they got the message. You were supposed to be disappointed in Dash flipping out about it instead of trying to cut it off at the head and not let it get so far. Dash was too preoccupied with trying to ignore their disruptive behavior instead of just pulling them aside and saying something about it.

Instead she snaps, comes off as brutish and ungrateful, and ends up looking bad. She makes up for it afterwards.
