If an episode doesn't have a conflict, it needs something else to hold it up.

"The one where Pinkie Pie knows" also had a non-conflict but it held up much better because it had humour and Pinkie shinanigans.

"Castle Mane-ia" was the same, the conflict what non-existent but it was fun to watch regardless.

Conflict isn't necessarily two characters arguing, conflict is anything that creates a problem. You can't make a story without a problem.

This. I think people are misunderstanding "conflict" to mean arguments at least and le edgy DBZ fights at most.

But no, conflict - as a writing term - just means the problem that is confronted by the characters and demands they take some action to find a solution and then resolution. It doesn't imply aggressive disagreement at all, let alone violence.

Retard, its one thing to have a cofnlict and anothe to have it be entertaining. Sure we didn't have much of a conflict in Winter Wrap Up but it was still enjoyable episode,

Fluttershy Leans was bland and dragged the plot. Used strawman logic to make a point. Made Fluttershy more rude than politely assertive. Still didn't develop her and we dont even know her job. Supporting characters had no life or chemistry on screen because the dialogue was dull. It was a very weak episode. Deal with it. Move on. Previous episodes were good. Maybe next will be good too.

She tried to be clear but what she wanted was so unique that no one knew what to do. It'd be like if you hired me to build you a PC but you wanted it literally built into the wall, cables and all. I'd have a general idea but at the end of the day i'd default back to what I know. She should've been a lot clearer.

I hate to say it, but she was more of a bitch than assertive, and I;ve always liked the idea of her being more assertive as a sign of growing character.
