Plus this reminds me of what happened with the Lion Guard. The Lion King is well known by millenials and adults because of how popular it (and its sequel, to an extent) was back in the 90s. Just now they decided to make a (rather shitty imo) cartoon that has NOTHING to do with the source material other than Simba, Nala, and Kiara existing. Parents buy the toys, DVDs/Bluray episodes, etc. just because they're aware of the Lion King name.

I think Spirit is going to be the same way. Spirit is kind of well known, maybe? by millenials. Millenials are having children. Children need something to watch.
