Yes, this is the most pleasant pairing on the show. I remember that i was never pleased on how the show depict romance with Sparity and Blueblood. But the natural chemistry of Discord and FLuttershy since S3 work like Beauty&Beast being extended into seasonal series rather than rushed romance in 1,5 hour movie. I think S7 will try to finish her "stroy arc" from the S1 Gala episode. Dash wanted to be a wonderbolt and she became one. Rarity wanted to meet a Prince but then her arc switched into opening the shops in Manehattan. Fluttershy just wanted to meet animals so it's probably "Fluttershy Lean" episode that going to fulfill it by giving her an idea about opening an animal sanctuary. I think Rarity not caring much about Spike was what really killed it. Even in Ember episode she was more than happy that he gets closer to Ember. Feels more like she just letting him go than going to be ever jealous of his affections.


I think IDW comics with Nightmare Rarity and Berrow books made the last attempt at ressurecting the ship with Rarity being implied to be jealous of Spike or having affection for him.
