Latter. Villain GlimGlam was shitty & boring IMO, at least compared to all of her predecessors (even Sunset). Killed my hype for the season as a whole.
I feared the worst after the finale implied she'd show up more but credit to them she's become halfway likable. S6 was probably my second fave finale overall.
I wouldn't even mind if the Doomsayers are right and she becomes the new MC. Better for the show to let the narrative evolve & the focus move along than to become another Fairly Odd Parents.

She was a great villain (except for her backstory which was kinda weak, fixed only a little by A Heart's Warming Tail), and she's an interesting character now, as a student, but she's at her best when she's taking from both worlds.
Her efforts to fit in, while remaining cynical, sociopathic and easy to anger, her jokes about the evil past and her relationships with Trixie and Discord, are what makes her shine the most.
