I really hope that they could make a 2-parter episode even better as primary focus dealing with some sort of huge rift between Twilight and Spike.

Why would such episode exist?
Because T&S relationship is I believe the most basic, core, strong-bond friendship Twilight ever had and it easily falls into "darkest under the lantern(?)" proverb.
Twilight had many successes, let her have also a huge failure.
Also Celestia and Luna could intervene at some point, being the reminder of similar accident.
