It would actually be kinda interesting if a fic presented some kind of minor in-universe connection between characters who are voiced by the same VA. Nothing like "Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy are secretly sisters/cousins/whatever"; maybe something like a shared interest or favourite food. Maybe Cheerilee is secretly as fond of cake as Celestia is, or Trixie desires to be loved much in the same way that Chrysalis wants to steal love. I couldn't see a story revolving around that concept, but it would be neat. I think you see it in movies sometimes where an actor's character has some minor, inconsequential connection to another character he played in a previous film.
