Like they said; Trixie and Starlight still have potential character development ahead of them while the six have all pretty much accomplished their goals, and then some in a few cases... even when some didn't have much potential in that area to begin with *COUGH*-APPLEJACK-*COUGH*.

Trixie, Starlight and probably a few more previous side-characters will probably be getting more and more screen time... or things are gonna get weird and stupid to try and keep the 6 relevant, like the movie I'm personally getting increasingly wary of.

I have to agree with this Anon. The Mane 6 have pretty much done what they've set out to do and the continuous attempted-milking of putting them in situations that they've already been in + learned lessons from has shown to get mostly negative responses. That was one of the over arcing reasons season 6 was such balls. I always loved the main cast and I still do, they have a very special place in my heart, but I'd rather have the show shift it's focus to other characters if they can't work with them anymore.
