I especially miss S1 Twilight Snarkle, who was--refreshingly, for an animated series protagonist--willing to say what she meant, and unwilling to suffer fools gladly. She didn't give a fuck and didn't care who knew. I liked her. I liked her quite a bit, though I did not regard her as waifu material.

They've made her into a neurotic Disney Princess with hooves, who is constantly sperging out and on the verge of a nervous breakdown, whenever she isn't gushing at everyone about how wonderful her friends are.

Pruplesmart used to be my favorite horse back when she was still honest and direct with everybody. I don't think she's played comical straight man to anyone in years now. Now she's always gently needling everybody with her dumb ideology.

I liked her a lot, but my favorite is Sunbutt, partially for the character design and voice acting, partially for being written with a quirky sense of humor. The S7 opening episodes have convinced me that she is mai waifu, though I am saddened that she never got her own episode or much character development.

This is true and legitimate. I came to this conclusion years ago, and have moved into the acceptance phase.
Now I only come to this board during hiatus, it is an effort to lurk here, let alone participate, while it is infested with people who don't know better than to like what the show has become.

I can't wait until the show ends, so that I can finally finish this decade-long ride off in one long, peaceful decline.
