Does anyone know how to configure a firewall to allow discord through?

I block all incoming and outgoing trafic by default and just allow the programs I use, but even though discord is allowed it doesn't work. (it works when I allow outgoing tragic by default though)

There's plenty of /mlp/ Discords. Tons, in fact. Go onto Desuachive and just search 'discord.gg' and you'll find literal hundreds of them. I am telling you this from experience, though: Every. Single. One. Sucks. I am not being irrationally retarded, nor am I inflating my disgust; they all absolutely one-hundred percent suck ass. I've been on 4chan since 2008, I was on /mlp/ the very first day, and I've seen everything this fandom and site has to offer. I was on the /co/ uber sekrit Skype groups, I was in the teamspeaks, vents, and Skype groups for /mlp/, and let me tell you right now there is not one single thing more cancerous on this entire site than /mlp/ Discords. Let me sum them up for you. Mix and match these

>A majority of highschoolers
>'Vent and Feel' chatrooms

I think this guy has put almost perfectly. Some succeed, some fail, and some turn into Tumblr. Except he's missing out on a crucial part: All the successful ones turn into a Tumblr group eventually. Examples include the CYOA discussion Discord, Post-Apoc Emporium, MLV, and Writefags Guild, which is just a flirting chatroom for a small group of gays at this point. An example of a non-cancerous one would be /mltg/, although it's dead.

I've tried multiple times to make a Discord for people who actually are willing to talk, discuss, or joke even slightly maturely. I've joined several too. They either die out within a week or never live at all. Man, I'd absolutely be thrilled to chat with some /mlp/ guys who aren't cancerous. There was a 18+ only Discord at a point, maybe someone can start that up again.

There wouldn't really be any rules I'd put down other than you have to be 18+. Most rules I can think of kill more fun and do more harm than the benefits they give. If someone's actually older than 18, the most obvious rules like 'don't spam' are a given. It doesn't help that some of the older guys I've spoken to essentially boycott Discord because it's kind of a honeypot.

why dont you get an anonymous discord-like service? something that still shows all users in the channel, and you can still send private messages and shit, but the main chat window only shows posts with optional names maybe, but most would be anonimus.

Or would that not be popular?
