When will the show stop doing slice of life and do more adventure episodes, with lots of worldbuilding and lore?

Not until Jim "It's for little girls, fuck you" Miller dies of his pneumonia/AIDS

Hopefully never.

Shows been over for some time. Hasbros just trying to squeeze every last penny out of it before they revamp it for another gen.

Then why are they wasting money on making new episodes when they have more than enough to rerun indefinitely a la TTG! as well as sell the syndication rights?

Bc more episodes means more content for the little girls to watch.
Adults will buy their merch regardless of the quality of the show.
Little girls need more and more episodes to watch.

Little girls can watch the same episodes over and over without it making a lick of difference.

That was the idea in the 80s. Nowadays it does make a difference because if the TV shows a rerun, the little kid will turn to one of the other thousand channels that have new cartoons, or more likely, a Youtube channel.

Hasbro knows it can sell its merch to adults but it wants to try and keep its target audience.
At the young ages of 5-12 the episodes don't have to be good just cute with silly sounds and pretty princesses.
They'll keep pumping out episodes as long as little girls keep tuning in.

You're looking for Season 1, senpai. Season 5 also had some decent worldbuilding, even if it started to default to Manehattan every other episode.

I doubt it would work out.
Lore would either contradict what's already in place (which is a bit of a mess as is) or would only pop in for the sake of convenience/plot, just like most magic.Speaking of, remember Alicorn Magic and how we have no idea what it really does aside from being unique to that race?
Do you think the show is too slice of life?

You are autistic. This show is supposed to be slice of life. You want complex, detailed plot? Watch a Chinese cartoon or a live-action normie show
