Season 6 has shown clearly that Hasbro doesn't give a crap and lets the writers do what they want. Look at the way the premiere and finale were handled. Instead of focusing on the known characters, that bring the cash, they put them in a bus and focused on a mary sue (that the fandom despises) and on some nobodies no one gives a fuck. The only possible explanation is that it isn't official anyway.
