Because there's a ton of creativity and camaraderie to be had. This place, and the brony fandom, is kinda like /tg/ in some respects, and I used to lurk /tg/ too. Like I said, to me it's kind of a plunge to get involved with horsefuckery, so I haven't. I just lurk these places, and write my own greentexts which I share sometimes.
