I hate to say it, but I felt the exact same way. I'd forgotten what it's like to see people excited about the show and talking about it with a sense of affection and genuine interest.

I'm not saying it applies to everyone, but on the whole, this board really does seem to either hate the show, or only care about it tangentially because it forms the foundation for the long, convoluted lore of intertwining greentexts in whatever general they're a part of. I know there are anons like us who still love it and want to talk about it, but we're so outnumbered by the circlejerks and the disillusioned that it's like trying to have a chat in the middle of a hurricane.

/mlpol/ felt like a fresh start. I haven't seen that many interesting conversations about ponies on 4chan for a long time, and I certainly haven't been that excited to check a board in years.

I hope we get to keep it, because - as much as I hate to say it - /mlp/ feels like a lost cause. I've kinda known it for a while, but the past two days have reminded me what actual fun is like, and I finally have to call it what it is.

I agree. A huge part, from my perspective, was it returned the board to what it was before Lauren visited. That might have been the apex of the board, because after that it was invaded by ponychan faggots and worse. For one day they were scared away by horsepussy and Nazis.
