After how much I loved season 5, I was really hyped for season 6. And it was extremely disappointing. I'm not hyped at all right now, and the only thing I'm really looking forward to is the scene from the leaks which looked like a mane 6 song.

Bottom line is if you can't enjoy cute ponies you might as well not watch the show. I'm not saying that getting hyped because of it is good, or that nothing else matters and something like shitty writing can be excused just because it has cute pones in it. But this IS a big factor and if nothing else you can safely look forward to it. It can be a legit reason to at least be somewhat optimistic.

But that's a false dilemma. You can enjoy cute ponies and still dread seeing them doing dumb things. Besides, you don't really need new episodes to see more cute ponies.

I mean, I'm not trying to be negative, but my reason to be hyped was always "I want to know what happens now", but now I'm not really sure if I want to see what they've written this time.

I agree with this and nothing gets me more upset than cute ponies stuck in some shitty story. I personally can't get over it and I'm afraid that S7 will start with exactly this. But I can see how some people can ignore it, as long as the episode has cute moments. Hell, even Princess Spike had a lot of cute Twilight and I can't deny that it did salvaged the episode a bit for me. So some people probably ignore a lot of the plot as long as they get a new dose of ponies acting cute. For me personally it's not enough. After S6 I just can't get the hype, I kinda assume the worst now.

I haven't kept up with it, I've seen no teasers, know nothing about whatever episodes there might be, I don't even know the date it comes out on.

Asides from that, I haven't got anyone to watch with, and I sure as hell ain't watching it with /mlp/ given our track record of complaining about episodes.

Just waiting for it, to be honest, I'll hype for it thirty seconds before it airs.

I enjoyed s6 but I'm not hyped any moreso or less than previous seasons because it's a cartoon show.
