If Twilight could teleport freely between the worlds, I'd start importing cheap gems and diamonds from Equestria to fund every form of pony media for each and every audience.

If she could teleport here only to deliver the message, things would be much more difficult. I'd start commissioning art and comics from different authors and doing my own as much as I could, posting ponies and pony-related stuff to people who hadn't necessarily seen them yet. And if Twilight could help from within Equestria, I'd advice the ponies to use more memeworthy innuendos and double entendres when possible, since those make great exploitables and thus are easy fuel for the new content they need.

This is hard. It'd be easier to get a fandom going for something that isn't relatively known, rather than revive interest in something like My Little Pony, which is already vastly recognized across the globe at this point.

From an executive perspective, Hasbro's pretty much made all the right moves already. Maybe not when it comes to the show, but as far as marketing and distribution goes, they've made Pony a top-selling brand, more widely known than ever—and this is overlooking the fact that MLP never lost so much popularity so as to be pulled from shelves to begin with. I think it's been selling incessantly since its inception. The movie is pretty much the best thing they could do to revive interest at this point, aside from maybe an official video game or something.

From a fan perspective... Two things:
1. There's only so much one person can do by themselves. You don't have control over a company, you don't have people working for you, and you don't have any effect on the brand outside of consuming it and broadcasting it to other potential consumers. Unless you can rally people who either believe you/are directly aware of what Twilight's told you, or are just generally passionate about reviving the fandom, you won't get a lot done.
2. The fandom would become your job. Seriously. You would have to dedicate enormous amounts of time, effort, and most likely money if you're truly going to set about revitalizing interest. The fandom becoming your job is a bad thing because a) you don't get paid for it, and b) people join a fandom to relax, have fun, and take their minds off of reality, not to work and get frustrated when things don't go right.

The best bet for a fan to revive interest, besides continuing to promote awareness, is to complete a fan project that's:
-accessible to newcomers
-attractive/intriguing to outsiders
-impressive in some capacity
-free
-finished in secret so as to not arouse the ire of Hasbro
