Think about it. The Mane 6 are like 20-22. This means they were born around 1995-1997 from our point of view, but when the show started, it would've been 1988-1990. Some of the Mane 6 currently are nearly a decade younger than the original Mane 6.

...I'm sorry, can you run that by me again?
And?

Why are all mobilefags so fucking stupid
>>29712196
2010- they were born 1988-1990 if they're 20-22
2017- they were born 1995-1997 if they're 20-22 (not accounting for in-universe time skips because nopony seems to age)
2017- the original 1988-1990-born variations of the ponies are now 27-29.
Sorta like how Bart Simpson should be 40 (a year older than Homer) now.

This is assuming the show has no continuity like that boil on the face of reality does. It does have continuity, so they are ageing, they've even had birthday episodes.
>>29712232
Except for the CMC and other foals.
>>29712232
In 1987, Bart was born in 1977.
In 1987, Homer was born in 1948.
In 2017, Bart was born in 2007.
In 2017, Homer was born in 1978.
How is that hard to understand?

>This totally proves my everything I've been saying!
The CMC, contrary to popular belief, are growing up. They've gotten their cutie marks and figured out what to do with their lives. The actual time that's passed in the show is something like 2-3 years when taking into account the episode where Rainbow was a domestic terrorist and Cadence carrying Flurry Heart to term, which is 10-11 months. That's before figuring out how much time passed over the course of season 6.

I think you missreplied, I know what he means, you doofus.

While the show has been going on for 6 years, from what I can see the continuity is somewhat slower, where only about 1-3 years have passed in their entirety. 4 at the most. They're still in their early-mid twenties, and almost all of them have shown hints of the subtle change in personality and increasing maturity that occurs at that age range.the (human, but it counts considering the anthropomorphism of who we're talking about) brain reaches full development here, finishing with the part that deals with self control and responsibility
The CMC have also been displaying a stereotypical transition from pre-teen to early teen personalities, including mood swings, deepening voices, even though you can also attribute that to the voice actors growing upuseful development of physical skills, except for Scootalooand increasing ability in critical thinking.
You have my permission to call me a pimple-faced nerd now.

You're pretty cool.

>>29712187
>they'd be generation z ipad addicted retards

>>29712391
>Gen Z
They're just an extension of Gen Y with no personality of their own.
>>29712391
>gen Z
Nah, '95-'97 are still potentially millenials. The dividing factor is who can remember the 9/11 attacks.
