I haven't watched a single episode since 2014. Yeah, yeah 'fan of the fandom' and all that bullshit but honestly, for real, who is still here because of the show? For me, at least, it grew to be a pretty integral part of my life and leaving now would be akin to chopping off a limb. I've been in this fandom since 2011 and I honestly don't remember what it's like to not be. Yes, we've been taken over by the underage and all the things we aspired to not be taken over by in 2014, but we're still limping along. Activity is on par with /k/ still and the drop in activity is slowly plateauing.

If you're going to complain about a lack of good threads, you need to have made at least one (1) attempt at starting your own thread. I get the feeling those who complain the most about a lack of content are the ones who have always waited for someone else to start something interesting. That attitude might've flown in the days when traffic was strong and there were plenty of others to pick up the slack, but that's not really the case anymore. Don't sit around waiting for someone else to start the party—a bored board is a shit board. (That's part of the reason why shitposters spend their time the way they do; it's their main source of entertainment in the absence of interesting and participation-based threads.)
