Disney might do something good with mlp, nothing outstanding, but good enough to get the brand name into the heads of every little girl on earth. And then with every other one of their princess/young girl related IPs, it would be left to atrophy. Occasionally being prodded with the stick of relevance to keep the brand name on the shelves and in the memories of children. Even if you consider the current direction of mlp to be shit, its merciful in comparison to anything Disney would do with it.

If it wouldn't be a skyrocketing success like that of Fairly Odd Parents or SpongeBob, it would be left to rot on one of their alternative channels and only air in the least populated time slots. If it were successful on their main network channel, it would only air as reruns after reruns with the occasional new episode once every few months/years.
