Just shut the fuck up, the show isn't new anymore, it's no longer a so called cultural phenomenon, it's just a fandom as any other, of course it's going to lose momentum the longer it goes on in terms of hype and bandwagon people who are just chasing trends

Also, this board itself is just pretty shit these days, the over abundance of generals has made it so fractured, it's more like a million mini fandoms within the fandom on this board, so it's constantly slow and having zero fresh threads, mods are to blame for this

Show me a fandom that's as old as mlp and just as active.
2011-2012 was a bubble because FIM was the new hip thing. Once the bandwagoners lost interest and left to the newest and coolest thing the fandoms numbers sharply declined but we're still leagues more active than we were prior to 2010.
Pokemon was the same way back in the day. The new game caused a tiny bit of resurgence but it will dip again to stable numbers soon enough.
