>Wearing such a gaudy quartz watch.
Not even criticising the shit choice in horse, but that watch is some nasty shit OP.

Get yourself a decent Swiss or Japanese automatic or hand wind watch, and pay for someone to swap out the 12 for a cutiemark in order to keep the gaud-levels down.

Not even slightly effay/10; Kill yourself.

Pic semi-related. Exactly the same as my watch, only mine has an air-king bracelet as opposed to a fuck-disgusting leather strap.
>>

I hated the Nylon strap when I got it, and I intended to replace it with leather or air king, but it grew on me.

I absolutely love the smug animu grill face she's making, it surprises me that it's official.

What CCG do you play? Magic?

I've been meaning to get into the pony CCG for kicks, whether it's good or not. Getting a couple base decks and playing with friends sounds fun.
>>
>>29637803
Force of Will.
I like the battle mechanics and that your mana is in a seperate controlled deck that doesn't clog up your main deck, but the balancing is inconsistent and the game is a little too fast with your turn 3/4 play being the big game deciding turns. That is of course if the game doesn't just become control.
Still, it's a fun game with mostly nice art.

I also have the want to play the pone ccg, I've heard from other anons that it's pretty fun.
Though, the scene is so incredibly niche that you're not going to be able to do anything at your locals.
What I was thinking was to make a thread to spark interest and play online with anons either via Untap.in or that downloadable program for the ccg that someone made.

I don't really play any CCGs. I know how to play magic, but I don't own any cards. I don't want to sink a bunch of money into it.

For the poner CCG, I would just buy enough cards for my friends and I to screw around with. If it's fun enough, I'd get more.

Oh thank God someone respects crafting!
>>
>>29638289
If all you do is is pull check the lock screen and put it back in your pocket then your intention was clearly to check the time/weather, exactly the same level as checking a watch. Obviously if you start poking at your phone and typing or just swiping through your home screen then that's rude but you don't do that shit just to check the time. It would also be rude if someone started pushing buttons on their watch to pass the time during a conversation. A pocket watch too has the exact same "dedication" to check out as a phone does.

Checking your phone for the time and checking your watch for the time in the middle of a conversation are equally as impolite as it shows you are much more interested in the time then them. There is also next to no instance where checking the time in the middle of a conversation doesn't mean "how long is this taking when will it end"
Stop being such a phone hating autist.
>>
>>29638421
You aren't allowed to have your phone on you at work, but you know what you can carry?
A watch.
>>
>>29638450
That's great, also not what you or I was talking about.
Way to move goal posts.

I like watches, and there's plenty of times it can be better than a phone (like work), but both checking the time on your phone and checking the time on your watch are equally as rude to do mid converaation. To worry about the time means you have something greater to pay attention to than the conversation. You're making sure the conversation fits in your schedule, you're schedule being what's so much more important then them and the conversation.

>Stop being a phone hating autist.
Nobody said they hate phones.

Here's a thing about manners: sometimes, it doesn't matter if it makes sense or not - it may still be considered rude. And it doesn't matter if you don't consider it rude if others perceive it as rude. For example, consider if a person taught to count to 1 using their middle finger. That person may arrive at an American restaurant, ask for a table for 1, and signal it with their middle finger. The host would think that person was very rude, even though the person sincerely did not believe that they were.

In the case of using your phone as a clock, you may not be feeling bored, but others will perceive it that way. Even though checking your phone for the time and checking your watch are effectively the same, they are generally perceived a bit differently. Checking your phone is generally considered a greater social offense. Perhaps it is because checking your watch is a more subtle action than digging into your pocket. But whatever the reason may be, it is good to be aware of these things.

Like I said, sometimes it doesn't matter if it makes sense. Society is made up of people, who are complex and often difficult to understand, or even irrational. When these people develop rules on how to behave in public, sometimes they can be kind of arbitrary. But that's how it is. A big part of manners is that what you think doesn't matter. The importance is in what others perceive, and manners are about making others feel comfortable, welcome, and at ease.

I took a class on electricity in high school. Near the end, we had to do home wiring projects. They had wooden boxes with some switches, light bulbs, alarms and stuff like that, and we had to manually wire the circuits ourselves. The instructions were very straightforward and simple, it was foolproof. But I finished half as many as anyone else in the class, and many people even finished three times as many as I did.

I made up for it in the other portion of the class by understanding the circuitry in the breadboards.

I am not good with my hands, and I'm okay with it. I'm good at other things.

Ayy, I have the same tie.

Actually getting a tailored suit and I have to say it's pretty sleek.

Otherwise I have some subtle pony merch I wear often like stylized cutie mark t-shirts and a Rarity gem necklace, The amount of compliments I've gotten on that necklace absolutely astounds me because 99% of them don't even know what it's from. They just think it's stylish. and the more outspoken stuff either is when I'm chilling at home, at a friend's place, or cons.

I also I have a subtle golden Celestia sun pin I wear to work.
>>
>>29640313
I wish I had more excuses to wear my tie.

Post your necklace?

It's basically one of those cheap hot topic necklaces I got for like $10. It originally had both the gem and a large metal Rarity, but I took her off.

>>29640588
If only you had 2 more of those pendants to remake her cutiemark's 3 diamonds.

Also have that tie. And two pins from the same seller. Nice stuff. So far I've only had one occasion to wear it and no one seemed to notice. It was at this freshman orientation banquet, so I was sort of hoping to signal to any horsefuckers in a less over way. No one took the bait though.
Next time I buy shirts I'm not sure if I'll get autistic pony shirts or autistic far right wing shirts.
>>

I have a pin from him, too. I was the best man at my friend's wedding, so he gave me a silver wingpony pin. It was touching. I should wear it more.

I spent a whole chunk of time with the pony ccg and I can confidently say - these official sleeves are probably the single worst ones I've ever used, like holy shit the back starts to come off after like two shuffles

also I'm tired of pretending you totally need to check the game out and hop in and play at your locals because this game is dead as shit by now, it is a shame but that's how it is. It was fun while it lasted
>>
>>29643305
Is it still a fun game? I'm not expecting to play it with many people. I want to get several good afternoons out of it, at least.
>>
>>29643449
If you can find people to play with, definitely, it's a super fun game. It's surprisingly convoluted to learn, but also has an impressive amount of depth if you want to get into the nitty gritty of competitive play.

The reason nobody plays it is because the cross section between people who can stomach ponies and the people who really want to get into a complex game like this is pretty small. A couple of people in our playgroup didn't even watch the show but were in it just for the game.
>>
>>29642720

>>29634087
The only watch I ever bought was a $10 one from Walmart and it didn't fit me. The watch I wear today is a thin, rubber, digital watch that has a built in stop clock and a light setting. It's also 3 minutes slow (an hour slow during daylights savings) but I don't know how to adjust a watch's time so I consider myself very lucky that I found such a functional, mostly correct watch sitting on someone's desk.
