Blueblood is at his worst here. It makes for some fun scenes, but on the whole he's just so goddamn unlikable that I ended up skimming most of the comic. It's not terrible, but it sure ain't something I'd ever look at again. I'm disappointed that this was what Cook decided to write for the Deviations comic.

I mean, it's not as offensively retarded as most of the Guardians of Harmony comic was, or the Accord arc - or hell, most of the comics arcs these days, probably because it didn't seem to amount to much.

And that's really the problem: It just felt like it didn't really amount to anything at all. It was just another meaningless exercise in pointless bizarreness (and frankly, it says something about the comics these days that such a product fitting such a description isn't the worst it gets). It has the typical IDW sins - everyone acting bizarrely out of character, 2meta4u "gags", logic gaps that are more like logic grand canyons... but yet, it feels like it's trying so little to be a good comic I can't criticize it for not being good.

I feel like somewhere along the line they offered Katie Cook the option to do any comic she wanted, and she chose this just to throw out a chance to throw maximum bizareness into a comic because hey - if you're already going full AU, may as well go full crazy too.

MlP FiM #51 (Fist issue of From the Shadows arc) sold 10,552 copies, ch.

MlP FF #37 (Rarity and Trixie) sold 9,222 copies.

This... this isn't good.

That sucks ass that the Shadows one sold less than the accord one; it was WORLDS better than the starlight shitfest.
I'm hoping that its down solely because the accord arc was shit and that turned people away, as it was a massive upturn in quality. Not saying it was a PERFECT arc, but it was a significant improvement is all.

This is showing dollar sales, which is units sold x price.

Accord's final part was 32 pages instead of 22 and cost $5.99 instead of $3.99. So each issue sold was like selling 1.5 regular issues.
