>when you realize you've been on this ride for 5 years and you'll still be on it 20 years from now
>>29601284
>you'll still be on it 20 years from now
>implying I'll be still alive
>>29601284
I'll "gladly" be on it for the next 50 years if it means more of Pinkie Pie.
>tfw despite being an /mlp/ poster and constantly being exposed to weaponized autism and shitposting, you're still not tired of ponies and are looking forward to new seasons and movies
anyone else know this feel?
>>29601859
Absolutely. I'm strapped down to this ride but enjoying every moment of it.
>>29601859
I know that feel. I can somehow even remain optimistic about the comics with each release even though I know 95% of the time they'll be shit.
Movie I'm a bit mixed on, but I still think it'll turn out okay. Canterlot Wedding and a few other episodes seemed meh to bad on paper till I saw it played out, so I've learned to not throw it all into the trash until I see how things actually turn out.
>>29601859
Hoboy. Don't we all.
>>29601859
This... to the extreme.the last six people on this board get $10000 and a pony
>>29601898
Why has Rarity been beaten up in this?
>>29601284
20 more years of this...?
Fuck it, I'm in! Let the ride last forever!
HYPE HYPE HYPE!
>>29602020
>the ride never ends

>global society collapses in 2030 due to the combined destructive forces of climate change, the energy crisis, and ocean acidification
>but, you've been hoarding weapons, ammo and food for years on a few acres of land in the middle of nowhere
>people come to you, desperate for the means of life
>you allow them to live and work on the area you've staked your claim on, with only one condition
"Once every week, when the sun is highest in the sky, you must leave an offering at the base of the shrine I've constructed in the forest. Food you've gathered, goods you've crafted, anything that holds value to you. Failing to do this will result in your exile."
>the shrine is a small stone edifice, resting on a hill, with a single symbol imposed on it's front
>no one ever turns down the offer
>for a generation, people spend their lives in relative comfort in the community
>for a generation, the shrine's offerings pile rises higher, expands farther
>members eventually start migrating, youth not content to stay in the village their entire lives, the aged curious of what became of others
>they intend on finding others, joining their communities
>to them, you give one piece of advice
"When you find what you seek, recreate the shrine of our village. Give your offerings to it, teach your children to give their own. Do this, and it's blessing will come not only to you, but also the community you've adopted as yours."
>they leave

>the ones who don't return, the ones who find others, heed your words
>after you have died, the village continues the rites
>the children of the explorers continue their own
>it spreads across dozens of communities in it's time, evolving and being shaped differently in every one
>but there is always a center of beleif, and there is always the symbol
>eventually, some like-minded societies have reunited en masse, devout in their belief that the old world must return
>they go out, congealing labor with other communities in their work, integrating them, conquering them
>every group they absorb is encouraged to record it's history, to give it's own take on their lives during the collapse
>the collective quickly notices a common theme
>almost all of the integrated share a common ritual, even the most disparate peoples share some variation of it
>it is tolerated, as it helps unite these unfamiliar families
>the ritual persists even after the collective reestablishes some semblance of civilization
>it goes into their history as one of the most critical things in the success of the new order, a belief to rally behind
>it's studied for centuries
>a center
>a mark
>your ritual
>your friends
>even after the end of the world, The Elements of Harmony will be remembered
>>29602066
>they leave
>when you turn away, they look at eachother, wave their index finger around their ears, and roll their eyes, grinning mockingly.
>Your legend will live on, but not in the way you expected.
>Should've just started from scratch by uplifting ponies and build a horse utopia. Fuck.
>>29602078
>A simple symbol of friendship and harmony did what the myriad nation states of the old world never did in generations.
>It unites mankind.
>The original shrine stands as just one among many thousands in the world in a small backwater town with the simplest form of the ritual.
>They never learn the origin of the symbol, who came up with it or where the original shrine was.
>The meaning of the symbol is more important than where it came from.
>As it should be.

>20 years from now you'll git gud enough to post your songs and artwork of pone
>You'll be a 40 year old making pone content
>But what's worse
>But no one will give a fuck about pone by then

mah nigga
>>29601859
>tfw season 8 confirmed
>>29602147
That's not entirely true. I'll give a fuck, as long as you don't give up like a faggot.
>>29602186
Thanks Anon, gonna continue grinding fundamentals. I won't give up.
>>29601859
Me. I'll always look forward to more pones, no matter what.
>tfw tried other cutesy shows to get away from this one and all that happened was I became a bigger faggot
>>29601859
Same, muchacho
I would do anything for pone. I wouldn't lie to you and that's a fact.
>>29601859
Same here. Even with the low points the highs have been pretty damn good. Saddle Row Review from S6 was a perfect kind of M6 episode.
>>29601859
Right there with ya.
>>29601859
I've felt it for a very long time
I have been on the ride far longer than G4
I look forward to G5, and to see where they may go from here.
G4 has set the bar for the whole franchise and I hope Hasbro takes the lessons they have learned through the show and the fandom to make the next series even more fantastic and build on the greatest generation they have made.
No matter what happens, I know I'll still be part of the fandom, just as I was before there was a fandom
G4 has been one heck of a ride so far and I am glad to be experiencing it with all of you
When this series does end, I hope to see most, if not all of you for G5 so we can start the next chapter together and be once again pulled back into the magical land of Equestria!(\
For the hell hole that 4chan is, /mlp/ is the most honest place to talk about ponies
/mlp/ isn't going anywhere and as long as pony pics can be posted on the internet, /mlp/ will exist on 4chan
NEVER REGRET!
>>29603665
Exactly. That episode was one the funniest I've seen in the show. It's the one I've rewatched the most I think. I'll never forget the sweeping remix.
>>29601859
I, too, know this feel.
>>29601859
yes
