First time around though none of the songs were that great including the mlp one but the Madagascar one in no way deserved the win.

MLP has a history of losing awards to VASTLY inferior products, simply because the judges clearly aren't willing to watch or listen to a product for girls, so they give the award to the boys nominee by default. Cars 3 could be 90 minutes of Steve Buscemi fucking a tailpipe, it'll still win over MLP.

If it got nominated and lost, /tv/ and /co/ will freak upon it being nominated, but upon it losing they'll all raid our board for about 6 hours.

The most likely thing, with it not being even nominated, everything will continue as normal.

I'm curious if they'll allow a thread onto /tv/ when it's in theaters, or if they'll allow one if it somehow managed to get nominated for an award. Was the first EQG movie (which played in theaters) allowed to have /tv/ or /co/ threads?

Do you really expect the plot of the MLP Movie to really impress any critic? Zootopia didn't just won because it had a sexy bunny and furry creatures. I can't imagine McCarthy making a deep storyline with a fat skunk character. It's nothing but a giant commercials for the toylines.

First of all, the odds of the MLP movie even getting nominated is laughably small. Foreign films will probably take up the slot instead.

Second of all, even if it did win, the Academy won't vote for it. They always, ALWAYS, pick the Disney film because they don't care about animation and assume that the Disney movie is the best one by default.
