There are guides that are over a hundred pages. It takes a lot of preliminary work and then hours of tulpamancy meditation, if not constant, every day for years.

I followed one of the guides for about six months. The inchoate tulpa got to the point of having some free will, doing things I didn't want it to do and choosing her own name (a name I wasn't fond of).

It was pretty nice, but I stopped the practice. But after that I do believe in tulpamancy, that some people have real tulpas they can see, feel, and have conversations with if they've tulpamanced almost constantly for years.
