Soft Serve looks hurt. "That's a low fucking blow..." he growls.
You can't take all this mad. It's burning your mouth, and even though you don't get all of what the ponies are saying, you feel scared. Sniffling, you leave and go outside to get comfy in your hole in the sand tree.
...It's gritty and gets in the cracks of your skin, but at least it's cool.
A few moments later, though, Soft Serve comes outside looking for you. "Buddy?" he says. He doesn't taste made anymore. "Buddy, hey, listen... I'm real sorry about all that. It must have scared you. Come on back inside."

First, deal with the antenna. It is bent and needs to be straightened. Be careful not to snap it when attempting to bend it back.

Second, the string that was attached to the frequency knob is cut. It needs to be replaced with a new string, or we need to find some way to reconnect the two pieces. Maybe with some tape, magic, or possibly a wire nut.

Third, the wires need to be reconnected. They can probably be connected using a wire nut. We are color blind and cannot do this ourselves. We'll need Soft's help for this. Most of the wires match up according to the pic, except for the yellow wire. If you look at the schematic diagram, there is blue line coming from the speaker. Perhaps this is the yellow wire? If not, there is a stray yellow wire lying on the table. We will need to take a closer look at the radio to see if there is an input for this yellow wire.

Forth, replace the battery we removed. Place it back where we got it from.

Fifth, make sure the radio is switched on.

According to the diagram, two cylindrical components are connected to the pair of metal prongs. They are labeled "T" in the diagram, I think this indicates transistor. I guessing the transistors are the two yellow things on the left. We could connect the prongs to the transistors using the yellow and orange spare wires on the table.

Using your magic to pick the flat metal piece up, you learn that the radio has a weird face. It has three eyes, lots of teeth on its left side, and a little window on top of it. Radios are weird.
You can't quite get the face to fit back where it belongs, though. Something is stopping it from going all the way back up.
Suddenly, you hear a metal banging noise, then Soft Serve's voice, coming from another room: "Breakfast is ready!!"

A little fiddling with the radio tells you that the round stones on the front and side of it move. You try turning all of them, but none of them do anything except the big one in the middle. It makes the little stick in the window wiggle side to side a bit, but not very much. You sigh. This isn't going very well... maybe you should just go to breakfast. It smells sweet, after all. Sweet things are nice.
Soft Serve waves to you when you enter the food cave. "Hey, Buddy! What have you been up to?"

Now then you ninnies. Why do some of you think we should or should not bring a weapon with us? Some of you might argue that it's dangerous and we need some protection? And some will argue that weapons are excessive and over the top.

I don't care if we bring a weapon, I just don't want us to take something that Sil will get upset over. All I care about is what we need to bring, what we want is something I couldn't care less about. I feel that a weapon is more of a "want" than a "need" as we have other methods of dealing with enemies and looking back at our "behavior" I find it likely that we won't be using a weapon in battle. What we need is better armor, such as the pail in the sandbox.

I think we should use diplomacy first in all our encounters. Trying to reason with our fellow changeling brothers instead of brutally murdering them seems like a better way of trying to resolve the overarching conflict between ponies and the changelings.

But... Having a weapon with us may prove useful should diplomacy fail. I think we should take something that can do non-lethal damage, like a bludgeoning object. Perhaps a frying pan that's sitting on the counter? Who knows, it may also have the added effect of healing us mid battle... Or Soft can use it to cook his lunch

Anything can be a weapon. It either fighting with a pillow or you know what you're doing. I don't believe a frying pan would provide healing. Eating food normal seems fine enough.

A frying pan would make a good emergency weapon, Soft can definitely NOT kill someone with it if we need to fight. I also love how your all acting like our gangling uncoordinated baby hooves can be used for fisticuffs. Take the blanket though, and the egg shell all the armor we can get.

Taking some medicine sounds good.

We should also take the kitchen knife, even if we do not want to stab anyone, a knife could be still useful in a variety of situations. A blunt weapon also sounds like a good idea, just in case, as well as equipping as much armor as possible.

Soft will likely get his own supplies and weapons for himself, don't think we need to worry about getting it for him.
