Season 6 was too much for me already. It was genuinely painful to watch forced conflicts out of nowhere and the ponies acting like complete idiots to justify stupid plots because neither some of the new writers nor the story editor nor the director give a fuck about the show anymore. I liked about 10 episodes, and that means that not everything is shit and I have a think speck of hope, but for the next season I'll wait to see the reactions about the episode before watching it. I'd rather get the good episodes spoiled than watching other absolutely terrible episode ever again.

Well, maybe I'll watch the episodes by Confalone and Berrow on the stream, I still trust them.

I keep dropping on and off the ride between hiatuses and relapsing back here again. I probably won't ever stop until the show officially comes to an end, and I can finally have some closure.

I'm like this with everything I get autistically invested in, and I fucking hate it. No matter how bad a show gets, I will impulsively force myself to sit through it one episode at a time until it's finally fucking over. It'd probably have to drag out and get "Zombie Simpsons" bad for a while before I could break this habit, but I really hope it doesn't come to that. Just fucking let this show die already, or at least make it painless enough to sit through like it used to be.

Nothing in specific. Just if the tone in general gets unbearably dumbed down. I currently watch this show and see it along the lines of shit like Gumball, Steven Universe, Star vs., etc. I'll stop watching when I stop enjoying it on that same level and start seeing it the same way as shows like Sesame Street, Peppa Pig, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and the like. Trade in clever jokes and an actually pretty mature show (for it's intended audience) for instead forced idiotic educational messages with no personality or effort behind it. Killing Twilight's library is what did it for me. I started loosing interest ever since Twilight became an alicorn, but destroying the comfy library and replacing it with a shit toy set castle is what really crossed the line for me and I dropped pone completely.

Lately I found my old HDD with pony image macros I've been hoarding since 2011 and got hooked again because the ride truly never ends. I'm still sour about Twilight becoming an alicorn and the shit toy set castle, but I'll try to see past that.

Even if I left right now, which I don't want to, I'd stumble upon it someday and wonder what came of it and end up looking through it again. There is no escaping this ride. If you've been here long enough you'll be in a rocking chair and at some point a thought will pop up in your head about this show. It truly never ends. You'll always come back to it in some form or another, whether that's a full-on nostalgia binge watch or fond memories of times long past.

At this point there's so little left, I feel like I'm watching a very well animated fanfic.
The story that got me to start watching the series has been eviscerated beyond recognition. I can't bear to watch it anymore. The show I found in 2010 is gone. It has been replaced by a pale and
warped shadow of itself.

Maybe one day, we'll come together as a group, and ask Lauren if she could give us her notes from back then. Then maybe we could recapture what was lost. We have driven and talented people
here. We could probably make our own little version of equestria, animation and all. With a story that stays true to itself this time. There'd be no forced, toy-sales driven restrictions and

Nothing will keep me from finishing this show. While my overall rating of the seasons has gone way down and I have become frustrated with a lot of the writing/direction/overarching plot, there are still episodes every season that make me happy. I really want to see what they end this show on since they took away the most logical and acceptable conclusion back in season 3.

This is my first time visiting /mlp/ in almost a year. I don't really know why I'm back. Okay I do I saw some pony-related porn on e621, realized it was for a character I didn't know, and my curiosity got piqued again.

I started to feel weird after the S4 opener. I was actually writing fanfiction and shit about twilicorn from way back in the end-of-S1 days, which is when I joined the fandom (at the request of my first girlfriend, and, somewhat ironically, the only girlfriend I've had who I didn't hate for most of the relationship). There was something about the way they took a huge change for a character and did nothing really interesting with it that hurt me.

By the end of S4 I wasn't watching regularly. S5 had a good opening, so I watched some more, but then slowly lost interest as I realized that the characters hadn't progressed at all. Worse, it wasn't even like the S1 episodes, which were at least super comfy. Things just felt kind of off.

Then S6 happened, and Starlight Glimmer was just... No. I know she has a lot of fans (or did), but it felt so fucking weird that they took a parody of Joseph Stalin and made her a main character in a fucking kids show. I was still browsing /mlp/, mostly for shitty greentext, but then even that lost all my interest. I'm pretty big into tabletop gaming.

/mlp/ is responsible for getting me to write a lot of fiction, and getting me to write porn for the first time in my life. In that sense, I think it's had an impact on my development as a person, which is fucking terrifying. But right now the board is stale and the show is stale.

I remember back in S1 and S2 people were constantly afraid the show would be cancelled, since children's shows often are. I was so afraid I'd lose these characters, these friends, I'd gotten do know so well.

The show wasn't cancelled, but I feel like I still lost them. And, honestly, I kind of wish it would have at least been quick.

I know that feel. I still like a few of the new episodes, but I wish the show had been cancelled. It hurts physically to see the characters I love being assassinated by idiots who don't care about them. I really hope season 7 is the last season, before everything I love is canonically destroyed.
