I've actually died and it's pretty much cut to black followed by reintegrating your mental capacity to experience each function your brain is capable of producing. I remember absolutely nothing from a couple minutes before until waking up and literally not having a sense of direction or language or touch etc but still being able to *kinda* see where I'm at. Progressively, I was able to move purposefully and even talk to the nurse, the first half of the conversation I can't even remember, but literally when I started recalling what day it was etc, everything was going pretty smooth and my memory is largely intact again.
