So I've been catching up on this "comics are canon now" thing and apparently this issue was refwerenced in Season 6?
Anybody mind jogging my memory? I rewatched it all gain recently with a friend and can't remember anything of the sort.It was one of Fosgitt's first issues.

>I'm very excited about the future of the comics. Last fall I went to the Hasbro studio offices in Los Angeles (A brief humorous aside: this was actually the very last meeting in that office, they were moving to a new location immediately after—boxes everywhere! They were very gracious to make time for me, it was obviously a hectic day). We discussed the upcoming season of the show and ways that the comics could be more closely involved. For this first story arc starting in #51, we'll basically just be touching on some themes that will be present in the season. But as we go on, we'll directly tie into some of the episodes of the season—providing backstory, or expanding on characters or events. At the same time, the stories will work on their own. Our aim is to have something that works as comics without knowledge of the episodes, but if you're watching season 7, you'll maybe get more enjoyment out of getting “the whole picture”.

That uniform was in the show before the comics ever did it. Pic related from 'Just for Sidekicks'
The only confirmed reference to the comics in history is Ogre and Oubliettes and then they didn't even get it right (it's 'Oubliettes and Ogres' in every instance of the comic, the writer thought it sounded better the other way around)

I get the feeling you'll ask this question a million times and no one will ever directly answer it. I myself have no idea what the hell he's referring to in FF #18, maybe the fact that they had a Flight Camp Reunion but I don't remember that being brought up in S6 (and given classes tend to do reunions after their students get older I find it hard to believe that such an easy idea to come up with didn't just happen in a vacuum WITHOUT it needing to be directly referencing the comic)

Well, at the start of P.P.O.V , Twilight mentions how Rainbow and Fluttershy could not go for the boating trip with pinkie,rarity and aj because they had to attend a flight school reunion. I could be wrong though, but im pretty sure this is the dialogue reference.

WoG means very little in this case when it comes to canonicity. The bottom line is, the comics make way too many continuity errors and are retconned by new show episodes every new season.
They've been saying the comics tie into the show since day one, but the truth is neither IDW or Hasbro put any real effort into canonicity a la Star Wars new canon.
