There are no future plans yet but for the past 4 or so years they ran a well put together convention that was entertaining to say the least

MWBF last year was awful! The autograph room was a ghost town (I guess they weren't that popular) the whole convention was a ghost town. Over heard Peter New complaining about how awful that con was at Nightmare Nights.

Different anon: Bronycon hit 9,607 people in 2014 and 10,011 in 2015.
Attendance dropped to 7,609 last year even with all the voice actors.

I think a bit of that was due to their month change placing it near a bunch of other conventions. I think one of them might have been a furry con, and the other an anime con.

But I think them moving the date back to August also places it near other conventions.

We'll really have to see this summer what happens, and if it's a new declining trend. I plan on going.

Felt weird reading this on Wikipedia:

"In 2016, Visit Baltimore, Baltimore's convention and tourism agency released their FY2016 annual report that states on page 38 that BronyCon will be held in Baltimore in 2020 with a start date of July 28, 2020, 2021 with a start date of August 10, 2021 and 2022 with a start date of August 2, 2022. As of November 18, 2016 it's unknown what venue BronyCon will be held in for 2023 to 2025."

I didn't really think about it when it went from the 2000s to the 2010s, cause I was 15 in 2009, but thinking that 5 years from now in 2022 when Bronycon rolls around that summer, I'll be 27.

At that point, the show will also be about 11 years old.

Come to Whinny City in April, it's about a half hour north of Chicago. It's smaller, more intimate, and quite a lot of fun. Much cheaper too.
