Yeah, I've never been able to self-insert into greentext. I don't care how much you tell me Anon is a placeholder name that I'm supposed to self-insert into, he's a separate entity from me written by an online stranger that says lines and performs actions I would never say or do. More often than not I view him as a typical /mlp/ poster, and even though it's not reflective of reality, the behavior of the average poster on this board is enough to make Anon a distasteful protagonist who doesn't deserve anything good in my eyes.

Also, yes, I can't even imagine a positive fantasy for myself with any character. Got >>29355359's problem—I don't have it together in real life and am not at all happy with myself, so how could anyone else be happy with me?
