In my personal opinion, yes, I think the show has gotten awesome again. A lot of people say s6 was shit but desu I haven't watched it yet other than the premiere. But I thought 4 & 5 were actually extremely good. So yeah, you should

I watched about half of season 4 before i quit, i thought it was pretty meh but then i was under heavy impression of that whole alicorn thingy. I think i'll finish the whole season 4 for starters and then proceed to the rest if i feel like it.
