RD was my favorite pony from her first appearance in S1E1. But I had to keep reminding myself she was female through the first half of the first season, because she was so brash and boyish. I guess it was no surprise that I liked her, because as a guy watching a show that was so relentlessly girly she was the easiest character for me to relate to.
