I stopped watching the show during season 5, when I heard there would be an episode entirely focused on meme characters like Dr. Whooves, Derpy, DJ Skrillex, and the cello playing pony from the gala. Fuck immersion, let's just insert all fanon into the show.

This numpty doesn't quite get that IDW has a massive smorgasbord of third party properties, their bread and butter is pumping out as much of something that is vaguely familiar as possible. Still if his portfolio is good enough I'm sure he'd be welcomed onto the artistic or writing staff on a short term basis.
