Around 2011 I started seeing pictures from the show everywhere, became curious and decided to watch the first season.

Eight hours a day of crippling boredom for nearly a year because my employer was shutting the place where I worked, but for some reason or other refused to let people stay at home and/or do anything useful.
So we went to "work" and did literally nothing, except wander the internet.

Then these retarded fucking horses started showing up all over the place, and curiosity did the rest.

It made a really shitty time not quite so shit.
The season 1 livestreams were some of my happiest times in recent memory, thus S1 will always be my favourite.

Curiosity, was browsing /co/ when pony started to get popular. I was pretty neutral to it orginally, and thought it was just a meme. When I saw people genuinely liked it I just let it be. One day I got curious enough in Dec of 2011, looked up the first eps. I didn't get seriously pulled in until January by just my enjoyment of the fandom, and when I realized a few close irl friends was into it. Then month later this board was made, I fell in love with the community and board. That's when I counted myself truly dedicated to this fandom for better or worse. Been here since, and not leaving until either this place, or I die. Granted I'm here now only clinging to past glory, and happier days. But I love and cherish you assholes none the less.
