There are show creators involved, but not sure who's leading the production.
We're not even sure who the main target audience is going to be, will it be for fans? newcomers? bronies? kids? or family?

Lionsgate hinted in an interview that while their main target audience is little kids, there will be somethin' special for us in the marketing as well. Make of that what you will.

They're writing this so that the kids who watch the show will love it, we'll like it, and the kids and people who have never seen the show will understand and have a good time too. It's gonna be an all around good time for everyone.

I haven't seen Kingsmen but I heard it was pretty good. The sequal looks to be even better then the first. That and having the Bladerunner sequel is gonna make that Friday fucking competetive as fuck. It's definitely not as bad as having it go up next to a Marvel film but still not good. If Kingsmen/Bladerunner switched with one of the literal who movies or reboots I'd feel better about this release schedule.

At the same time I'm thinking maybe all those people going to see the those two movies will be reminded of the mlp one and go see it later. You know. if it doesn't bomb ass.
