What SPECIFICALLY have Vogel, Haber, and Miller done to the show

I'd say it's that they've let some things onto the show that isn't exactly well received and aren't really improving on anything.
- There's episodes that shit on a a character for 20 minutes straight and ones where [main character] gets away with doing something incredibly wrong no problem.
- Some episodes are so mundane they simply shouldn't exist so it's clear they're doing something odd enough to want football or a fucking cart race in a fantasy universe.
- Their stuff on twitter may not seem like a problem but it's like talking to an insecure rambling brick wall now it's terrible. He says he and the rest of the crew have a fun time and put a lot of care into it but jim specifically just seems like he sucks fun out of everything just by existing.
It's only a few things, but they can make a average /mlp/ poster guy bitter for a long time. It's okay though the shows still got its highs, it's just that the lows can be awful. yeahyeahblogpostfuckyou

1. Glimmer is dull and her episodes are shit. Only Trixie or Discord saves her ass.

2. Shitty focus on stuff like carts, football, Spa treatment or Casinos. Making the world look like Earth instead a fantastical and magical plave.

3. Again , focusing on Earth shit like Christmas Carol episode instead trying to tell a different story about Equestrian Lore or even new holidays. Hearthwarming Eve and Hearthbreakers had a Christmas vibe but still told something new to its audience. Vogel episode did same stuff as Disney did with Mickey or Henson did with Muppets. Its redundant.

4. When you are trying to make certain characters important. Stop making others look bad and weak to make that character stand out. It was shit resolution in Power Ponies and Equestria Games with Spike and it's also shit with Glimmer in the finale.

Found the problem. Lore is what makes the show better and you don't want it. You wanted a basis to be a fan of the fandom and that's it.

As in, threads dedicated to one specific concept, building and expanding upon it.

Threads like that DO NOT bring anything into shows lore, they create their own.

Threads discussing actual shows lore are few and far between, and mostly shit because all that was worth discussing over was done so multiple times and grown stale.

Im fan of the fandom because I absolutely love the concept of little ponies in big magical pony world. As far as I know tho, actual show strayed from this concept few seasons ago.
I dont watch the show anymore because I dont like what it became.
Fanwork tho, like green, makes its own concepts and rules, deviating from show greatly.
And sometimes, those deviations go in a direction I particularly like.
I dont enjoy the show anymore, but enjoy green that spawn from said show, because green is its own separate thing, sharing concepts I do like and often abandoning in-show stuff I do not like.

They all have the "it only has to be good enough for little girls" mindset. There's no attempt to make it anything more than the brief. That's why we all loved this show to start with. Ponies were cute, Equestria was escapism that bore little relation to Earth and the poners learnt simple but solid moral lessons every episode. Oh, and Pinkie was adorable instead of a loud, annoying interruption. Wouldn't do Jim any harm to sit and watch seasons 1 and 2 with a notebook and write down everything about them that works, then compare it to his own stuff. I bet the guy has barely seen S1.

I don't know who exactly is responsible for it, but what I felt for the nu-creators from S6 is they had too much fun making 22 minutes toy commercial for bronies that they forgot what they are making is supposed to be a good kids show.
Like one of the morals in Suited for Success, there's a definite line between what professionals and fans are required to do and if professionals try to get too close to fans, the work will turn to nothing but a public circlejerk.

See, there is slight problem with fan interaction.
It all depends upon if writing is good and attitude of a writer.
If show is good and writer lacks spine, He may deviate from whats making show good and start catering to fans, possibly making show go down in flames.

If show is good and writer doesnt care about any supposed 'fans' he has, its fine, he continues on.

If show is bad, and writer starts to listen to fans about possible ways to make it better, it might make the show better, but shortly will descent into situation #1, catering to the fandom.

If show is bad, and writer refuses to listen to fans telling him its bad, we have current situation. He wont get better on his own, covers his ears on any critique and we all suffer for it. It wont get better. Game over.
