Trixie isn't really main enough to get a single episode from her POV. She's more of a supporting character like Zecora, Luna and Celestia. So far she's used an an extension to Glimmer and her character development.

I think the point of that episode was to recover her from the depth of fandom irrelevance and match her with Glimmer to boost Glims appeal. Trixie was already a support character for Twilight in her first two episodes. In contrast, Discord was focused in bunch of episodes where Fluttershy or Twilight acted as a supporting character instead so he got the same treatment like Glimmer rather than Trixie.
