So am I the only one who thinks these are really fucking cool?

I didn't even know the Count of Monte Cristo had a musical adaptation before these videos, and I'm so glad I know about it now; I'm utterly hooked on the songs. And these animatics are actually pretty great too, nice use of imagery and colors, especially in the most recent one. (The two year gap between the first four and the fifth really shows.)
I just felt like sharing this. I'm in love with this musical thanks to these.

yes you are.
Now post more of it while I continue to tell you it's shit but watch and subscribe all the same.

looks cool
im gonna watch them

There are a number of people on this board who like them, myself included.
However it seems the general consensus is that the latest one is shit and has little excuse to be shit for how long it was delayed.

The fifth one is finally out? Thanks for informing me.

>mfw the sixth one will probably be The Man I Used To Be rather than the reprise of Hell To Your Doorstep
I don't think an English version of the Hell To Your Doorstep reprise exists anywhere
>>29054435
This is fucking gay.
Post more shit like it tho...

>it seems the general consensus is that the latest one is shit
I wouldn't call it shit, but it definitely is a step back. The style was really nice and progressively better in the previous videos, but the last one looked weird.
>>29054435
Don't know how many times I listened to the first one, it's my favorite.
>>29054509
I'd assume it looks weird due to the OCs they added.

I'm not sure how much more stuff there is like it. The uploader of those has done a couple of other animatics for other musicals, especially Jekyll and Hyde. Apparently it and the Count of Monte Cristo musical were written and composed by the same dude, so I think this guy just really loves his work.

>when they suddenly join into a harmony for the third chorus
my dick every time. The harmony thing is something that I Will Be There and I Know Those Eyes do as well, and it gets me every time. Borchert and Burkhardt sound incredible together.
I also adore Hell To Your Doorstep just because it's so angry, and it doesn't sound like your typical musical song.
