I'd say yes. Germany's economic collapse bled to the rest of the world. The 30s and early 40s were pretty shit for everyone. Part of the reason Europe kept appeasing Hitler was because their own country were in such disarray that they couldn't be bothered to worry about Germany holding up the middle finger to everyone. Not really. Humans have been around for some 40,000 years. Earliest medical care reaches back to about 3300 BC, only 5000 years ago, and even that was just primitive herbal recipes. This is one of my most favorite fantasies. I like to believe it would either be the princesses or butterstutter. There would not be any sexual tricks, but I would adhere to them like a lover regardless of the lack of sexual passion, if allowed. being vulnerable makes me want to hug stuff. In this scenario I imagine the ponies are fairly large, not quite as big as regular horses, but still sizable, not the size of an earth dog.

this is moronic, humans aren't better endurance runners than most things at all. I used to believe this bullshit but the truth is horses are stupid, so when we chase them at a brisk pace they will run away while we carry water and food with us, in other words they get hunted down becuase they are constantly sprinting and taking short breaks and getting thirstier and hungrier, meanwhile humans don't have any of those issues becuase we know how to carry food with us, and we know that we dont need to sprint to catch up to the horses as long as we go faster than they can recover.

Their legs would probably be fragile though, at least compared to other equestrian creatures as mlponers are much more durable than a human by far. Their double jointed limbs let them have extreme flexability but that always comes at structural cost.

Assuming a moderately fit man were to chase fit pony were to chase a moderately fit pony (and assuming their ancestors were not per distance hunters because, hey, stamina's always good), the human would probably manager to catch the pony, however winded.
