because i'm too cheap to even pay a dollar; do any of you guys have download links for the Balloon Party albums Academy of Power or The Clean Sweep?
Fuck, I remember Balloon Party. I wish I had the torrent still. Are there still good musicians in the fandom? Hell is there even a fandom at all? All the old creators I'm subscribed to haven't uploaded anything in like three years.
>tfw haven't watched or been active since s3
>>28876424
All the bandwagoners left, there's 4 movies cashing off of monster high, there's a sociopathic mary sue Twilight clone, the changelings were reformed and are now deviantart-tier OCs, Chrysalis is still evil, and Fluttershy is pregnant.
>>28876424
there are still some pretty good people. DJT, explodingponytoast, Proctra, PegasYs, undreamed panic, strachattack, progressive element just to name a few. the musical side of the fandom hasn't died its just changed a lot.

If you know a newer archive then tell me. The MLPMAv16 is from 2014 I think.
If you guys can keep this thread up for at least another three hours or so I'll make a torrent of The Clean Sweep. My internet connection is incredibly shit, sorry.
Discuss your favorite musicians, remixes from the show, etc.

When it comes to music, pretty much this >>28876568. I'd add Suskii, Einarx, Exiark, and Kadenza.
Fandom's still alive, definitely, but the bandwagoners are gone. Season 5 wasawesomeand Season 6 washit or miss, but it's still watchable.
Welcome back on the ride!

explodingponytoast has kinda been around forever, and I've enjoyed most of the stuff he's put out, but this song is one of my favorites of all time. Not just of pony songs, but songs in general.

Apologies for the wait.
Initial seeding is gonna be painfully slow, because again my internet is shit, but once everything has transferred over to my seedbox it'll stay there for a long while.

There are a shitload of good musicians still floating around with plenty of new talent that still hasn't really broken into the scene quite yet but instead have their foot in the metaphorical door.
For some acoustic and orchestral peoples: Frozen Night, Radiarc, the Sound Guy, Evening Star, Francis Vace, The Shakeups of Ponyville, The Wonderbolts, SDreamExplorerS, Reverbrony, Replacer, Plum Creek Rhythm Section, Neighsayer, Luna Ticks, Jyc Row, Itchigotchi, 4EverfreeBrony, Tehnikel/Techni/Technical Pony, Dashtortion, Catfood McFly, Aurelleah. There are so many of them nowadays you're bound to find people you'll like a lot.
For electronic, jesus there're like 3 electronic people to every 1 traditional/orchestral person... Archie, Tombstone, Alex S., Budzy, EPT/ExplodingPonyToast, DJT, Viricide Dash, Pegasys, R3ctifer, Metapony, Synthis, Mantlegen, EnsionD, lia;quo, IKX, Spectra, LutariFan, Kawaii Dash, Undreamed Panic, Phoxi, Hydra, NextLevelDerp, Fruity Fusion, 174UDSI, Cosine Pitchshifterz, Feral FurE, Royal Pony, Kadenza, delfino*, HACKD, it goes on and on.
If you want some places to peruse and get new music: Horse Music Herald, Horse Music Central, Cider Party, Ponies at Dawn, LycanDeseBeats, Pinkamena Party, Balloon Party, and Bronies For Good are most of the places I can name off the top of my head.

Yeah, that's What.CD. If you wanna get in they have open interviews. You just gotta study the interview prep and wait in IRC for them to call you. Even a retard can get in as long as they read the prep and understand it.

>>28881316
That's a pretty good list there.
i had listen to some of these guys before too.
>Frozen Night
Good stuff, he manages to do cool orchestral music with the same instruments, would be cool if he could experiment more.
>Radiarc
Good music, but i feel he kinda got stucked these last months.
Also, he's famous.
>>28883465
>>28883502
>radiarc
Fuck you all of his orchestral music sounds synthetic as shit (because it is).
He is mediocre at best.
>>28883553
what is wrong with radiarc?
>tfw ywn again eagerly await you favorite pony musician's releases like in 2012
>>28883830
You mean aside from the fact that all of his music is barely pony related at the most?
If that doesn't bother you then why not listen to music of a similar style produced in professional quality?
But like I pointed out before the main thing about his music that bothers me is how bland it all sounds due to the use of synthetic instruments. His instruments (violins in particular) definitely sound computer generated. It is all electronically composed but that doesn't mean it has to sound like it.
Most of his music strikes me as simply unremarkable, not standing out for any particular merit.
I liked his Forgotten EP though because I'm a sucker for down-tempo stuff.
>how to do orchestral right
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a8wtmi-52DY
>>28884172
I don't know. His recent stuff is really good and well-produced. Are you talking about his older stuff? All I can say is it's hard to make orchestral music pony related without lyrics or covers of the show.
