In fairness, so would I.

But I've seen plenty of knockoff fuckups from multiple IPs, enough to convince me it's hardly deliberate. Some poor sop making $2 a day probably went on deviantart, searched "pony dress", and grabbed one from each character that he liked.

I just google searched "Pinkie Pie dress" and the cupcakes dress does come up several times. The first instance for me was on the ninth row. It's possible that bootleggers just search up generic terms like that for vectors and grab whatever looks ok to them.
