What kind of things do you write?

Mostly adventure and action-ey kinds of things. That's honestly the nexus of my writing-but-not-watching autism - I found the show through fan work, saw a bunch of clips of episodes and quickly decided I absolutely loved the world, worldbuilding, and the subtle little implications about it that abounded early on. Watched a bunch more clips, fell in love with the characters, just as quickly discovered the show wasn't really an adventure show and I wouldn't find what I was really looking for. But I already had one foot on the ride and Mr. Bones wasn't letting me off, so I started writing my own shit.

There's a fair bit of romance and some slice-of-lifey bits in it too, but really adventure is the heart of my stuff. Of course that tends towards longer stories, which I think accounts for the sheer volume of my writing.

The other source of my drive to right is an overwhelming desire for >rape and similar such things.

If an episode is beyond terrible, I feel physically sick after watching it. There was a certain episode this season that let me so devastated for weeks that my friends were worried because they didn't know what was wrong with me, and I didn't want to tell them that it was because of a stupid cartoon.

I felt this way when I watched What about Discord. I was so hyped to see Discord and him making friends with the mane six but it turned out to be one of the worst episodes in the series. Until then I enjoyed every single one of Discord's episodes and that episode made me angry for the whole weekend. It makes me furious that shitty writer like Dusedau got such an important episode for Discord's character development. Man, FUCK Dusedau.

As far as I understand, the organization of the writers has pretty much always been dysfunctional. There's no *official* coordination between them (e.g. "writer's rooms") and since it's much more of a stepchild being passed around since Faust left, I think it now happens less often that anybody steps in and lays down the law about character-consistency or anything like that as a result, which means there's little to no backstop on stupid decisions, self-contradiction, etc. Also it's a show for girls and we're not supposed to care about those things.
