I agree on everything else, but why is this a problem? The existence of the Elements is some stupid exmachina chap too, and there's a parallelism between the way the mane 6 and the way the CMC got their cutie marks. I think they intentionally tried to made both groups similar, specifically to justify the existence of the CMC.
If you listed this along with some things that I consider serious issues, I guess it's because you think this is a problem too. But what makes it so different to the existence of the Mane 6 for it to be a problem?
