Paper Mario is set in a cutsier and wackier version of the Mario world, and somehow they managed to make the game more comfy, kind and light-hearted than most season 6 episodes, which are supposed to be set in a much grounded fantasy world ruled by friendship. In only four games (disregarding Sticker Star) the series has already explored much more lore than MLP in 6 fucking seasons. Comfiness and lore. A much more absurd premise with an absurd world to explore, and Paper Mario is passing with flying colors where MLP should've been the clear winner.
When did everything go to shit? Who is to blame?
